FAQS About Tuning
Q?WILL MY VEHICLE STILL PASS ITS M.O.T (EMISSIONS ETC.) 
A. Yes, your vehicle is being ‘fine-tuned’. Although your fuel consumption may go up or down depending on the type of tune you opted for, it will be burning the fuel more efficiently due to being finely tuned. 
Q?MY VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY WILL IT BE AFFECTED? 
A. It is difficult to tell if your ECU has been tuned so a Dealer will only know if you tell them. So your warranty should remain unaffected. 
Q?I’VE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS PROCESS OF ECU TUNING WILL DAMAGE MY ENGINE?
 A. The process of ECU Tuning is used to optimise maps that run the car. The engine itself does not need to be touched and will still be operating within manufacturer tolerances. Engines are damaged by “over” hard driving or “thrashing” which happens less after the tune because so much much more power is there anyway. You could say driven normally the car’s engine could last longer. 
Q?WHAT KIND POWER INCREASE CAN I GET OUT OF MY CAR/VAN? 
A. Because every vehicle is different, we have compiled a database of power gains we can achieve for all the vehicles we tune. You can search this database as often as you want to find out the BHP & Torque increases we can achieve by remapping your vehicle. 
Q?HOW WILL IT AFFECT MY INSURANCE? 
A. All insurance companies have different policies. If your policy states that you need to inform them of any modifications to the engine management software then you should give your insurance company a call and tell them you’ve had your vehicle remapped.
 Q?I HAVE NOT HAD MY CAR “CHIPPED” BECAUSE OF THE HIGH COST INVOLVED, WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE? 
A. What you have to remember is that the equipment needed to do the work is extremely expensive and companies have to get something back. Look at it another way customers are happy to spend 400 euro on an exhaust and get 5 BHP. For that 400 euro we can give you 50 BHP on some cars (some even more!). Which is the best value for money ? 
Q?WHAT WARRANTY DO YOU OFFER ON YOUR SOFTWARE. 
A. We only modify the files that have actually been copied from your ECU. We will replace/fix/test/set back to standard any files we have modified. There isn’t anything really to warranty so rather than making empty claims that may mislead you we simply say: we will fix ANY software problems caused as a direct result of our remap (at no additional cost).
 Q?WHY DON’T MANUFACTURERS DO THIS AT THE FACTORY? 
A. They have to produce a map that is highly tolerant of bad fuel and lack of servicing amongst other things. Here in the UK we have good fuel so we can optimise maps to suit. Manufacturers do actually supply the same engine in different car models with different power outputs, the only difference between them is the mapping.
